Another great project at the Frankston Basketball Stadium (for the Frankston District Basketball Association) upgrading the existing Metal Halide lights to new, modern and efficient LEDs. The project ran really smoothly with minimum disruption as the centre and its staff clearly knew the value and benefit of what the new lighting would bring – for the players, officials and supporters.
The upgrade was made possible through the VEEC’s Scheme – which subsidised the cost of the upgrade. This was a great way for the centre to provide a better facility for its users whilst also looking after the environment and keeping the ongoing costs to a minimum.
The new efficient and low cost LED lighting provides an even distribution of light and will require minimal upkeep and low running cost.
The antiquated Metal Halide lighting created multiple dark spots on the courts, required a high level of maintenance and was costly to run.
